Clinton Nsiala-Makengo (born January 17, 2004) is a French footballer who plays as a centre back for Italian club AC Milan U19.[1]
Early life
As a youth player, he joined the youth academy of French side Cercle Paul Bert de Bréquigny.[2]
Career
On 2021, Nsiala moved from the youth team of Nantes to the AC Milan's Primavera, where he often played as a starter in central defense, making 87 appearances for the team over the three seasons.[3] However, in June 2024, Nsiala decided not to extend his expiring contract with AC Milan and seek first-team opportunities elsewhere.[4]
On 10 June 2024, Nsiala was announced to have signed a pre-contract with Glasgow Rangers by the Scottish club's official press.[5]
International career
Nsiala represented France at the youth international level featuring for the U16s in 2020.
Style of play
Nsiala is left-footed and had been once described while in Italy as a central defender "alla vecchia maniera", who makes his physical structure his most important weapon".[6]
Personal life
Nsiala was born in Rennes, France.[7] He holds dual citizenship from both his native France and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
